Xylem launches Saajhi™ treadle pump for small-scale farm irrigation, the first product in new Essence of Life program

 Essence of Life is meant to address an under-represented segment of the water market.  There is a real daily need to overcome a very fundamental water challenge – getting water where it’s needed to efficiently irrigate small-scale crops to help improve annual crop yield. The first product in the planned EOL portfolio is an innovative treadle pump called Saajhi (Hindi for “companion”).  This product is designed to best meet the needs of the smallholder farmers.
